Facebook Friday App Review – involver Welcome Tab

Print Friendly

The Welcome Tab is widely used in Facebook pages for a variety of different reasons. Some pages use it to publicise products or to encourage a new user to like the page. Encouraging new users to like a page is a process known as “fan-gating” – where you create a virtual gate that only your fans can get through.

Involver have a number of apps available, we’ve already blogged about their YouTube app, but the Welcome Tab app comes from their suite of Professional Applications – which require a subscription.

Subscriptions for involver’s Professional Apps start at a hefty $99 a month, opening up another five involver apps. While the Welcome Tab does ensure your prospective fans are greeted with an attractive welcome page, whether the $99 a month subscription is worth it for this alone is another debate entirely, and it would be well worth investigating other Welcome Tab apps (as some are free) before comitting to involver for just this. If you want other of involver’s apps then it’s worth going for it. There are a number of other options listed on our Facebook Page Apps Directory.

You can see the involver Welcome Tab app in action at the InStyle Magazine Facebook page.
