Facebook Friday App Review – Social Scope

Print Friendly

What is it?
Social Scope is an app for BlackBerry, iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile that enables users to simultaneously post status updates and pictures onto multiple social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Instagram and Tumblr. It’s currently in private beta testing.

Getting started
Because Social Scope is in private beta you’ll need to visit www.getsocialscope.com to request an invite. Once you’ve registered and installed the app to your device, you’ll need to sign in and give permissions to all the social networks you want to post things to.

How it works
If for example you want to show your Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare friends that you’re ‘having a great time’ in London; select a photo from the day, ‘share’ it via the app, select your location, add a status, check the boxes for the all the networks you want to share on and that’s it. In an instant you will you have shared a photo of yourself, your location and the fact you’re having a great time on Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare. Pretty impressive right?

Social Scope also allows users to keep track of all their accounts by funnelling through statuses, comments, check-ins etc for accounts that have been synched with the app.

Closing comments
All-in-all Social Scope is a great tool for streamlining the process of getting messages out to multiple social networks.
