Twitter Tool Tuesday – Tweetburner

Print Friendly

Tweetburner serves as both a URL shortening service and a way for users to monitor links shared via Twitter. Users can track the number of clicks on links they’ve shared. They can also view the top 10 URLs with most clicks in the last hour.

Like virtually every other service of this kind, URLs are shortened simply by entering the original and clicking ‘shorten it’. Once a URL has been shortened, users can ‘Twurl’ it, which is Tweetburner speak for ‘share’. Tweetburner will then track and provide stats regarding the Twurl.

Overall, Tweetburner is a useful tool for anyone who wants to see how people have responded to the links they shared.

While URL shorteners are useful tools, there are some pitfalls to navigate when using them. Read our blog post: Beware the Dangers of the URL Shortener!
