Twitter Tool Tuesday – Tweography

Print Friendly

Tweography is an interesting little tool that maps where your tweets have been sent from. If your Twitter account has the geo-location feature enabled, you can sign in too see your tweets plotted on a  map. You can also do the same for other users tweets to see where they’ve been of late.

This tool is a lot more interesting for jet setting tweeters than people who tweet within a few miles of their home.

It’s potentially a very useful tool for marketers as it enables them to identify followers locations and tailor certain tweets to be location specific. I say ‘potentially’ because at this moment in time only a small percentage of twitter users have enabled the geo tagging feature enabled. Presumably this will change as more people become aware of its existance.
