Twitter Tool Tuesday – TwileShare

Print Friendly

Twileshare is a free service that allows you to upload and share files on Twitter. It’s still in beta testing at the moment, so for now it’s invite only; however once you’re registered it’s incredibly easy to use. You simply sign in with your Twitter account to begin sharing and uploading PNG, GIF, JPG, DOC and PDF files up to 20MB in size.  Users have up to 1GB storage space and can view stats on how many times their file has been viewed/tweeted. They can also comment on uploaded files.

A particularly nice feature is the Scribe API which lets you view word docs and PDF files on screen rather than having to download them.

You can’t yet DM file links but I imagine that will be one of the next steps the evolution of the service.

This service is a great way to send content that you simply wouldn’t be able fit into 140 characters.
